State Opera of South Australia
State Opera South Australia proudly presents the sumptuous and steamy production that wowed Brisbane audiences last year. With a cheeky hint of HBO’s The White Lotus, Mozart’s classic Così fan tutte (or The School for Lovers) seamlessly blends heavenly music, searing wit and themes of humanity with a contemporary take on this classic opera.
Conducted by State Opera’s own Artistic Director Dane Lam and directed by Opera Queensland’s Artistic Director Patrick Nolan, the production features the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and a star-studded cast of internationally renowned performers.

CONCERT: Thomas Elwin and Friends raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support
Thomas Elwin is running the London Marathon on April 21st to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, who have been a great support during the last year as Thomas's father has received treatment for a rare Lymphoma.
Two weeks before the marathon, on Friday 5th April Thomas will be joined by a coach load of his professional musician friends to perform a gala to raise additional funds for Macmillan. This promises to be a hugely special evening, with internationally renowned singers and pianists performing arias from Handel to Mozart, Puccini to Bernstein, and more. Thomas will of course be singing himself.
There are limited tickets available to this event, and for those unable to make the event in person, a live stream of the concert will also be available on Thomas's Facebook page.

Australian Music Foundation
The Australian Music Foundation will be holding a special fund-raising lunch party on Sunday 17th September at West Green House near Hook in Hampshire.
Since the pandemic, more and more young Australian musicians have struggled to find grants to support their studies overseas, and we would like to be able to increase the number of our awards, to help as many as possible to achieve their dreams.
West Green House is never open to the public, so this is a rare chance for a select number of guests to take in the atmosphere of this delightful Queen Anne property, where they will enjoy drinks and canapés before a very special lunch prepared by John Kahout, previously Head Chef of the Orient Express. Visit the West Green House website
After lunch, coffee will be served and there will be a short concert featuring AMF alumna - soprano Sky Ingram (Royal Opera, Opera North, Garsington Opera) - who is kindly donating her services for this important fund-raising event.
Later, guests will be able to enjoy a walk around the beautiful gardens and see the lake where the West Green opera festival takes place each year. See below for details of how to book.

Founded in 1978, The Story of Christmas is an annual Christmas charity event which is strongly supported by the property and construction industries. It takes place each December at St George’s Hanover Square in London’s Mayfair in the form of a service of nine lessons and carols. Readings are presented by a whole host of celebrated names from public life. Festive music each year is performed Band and Fanfare Trumpeters of the Irish, Welsh, Scots or Coldstream Guards and a leading British Cathedral Choir. Following the service there is a champagne reception and charity auction in the ballroom at The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel. The event raises funds – donated chiefly by companies in the property and construction industries – to finance capital projects benefitting either the homeless or disadvantaged children.
Over the past few months we have been agonising about The Story of Christmas in view of the pandemic crisis. Staging an event with over 500 guests in a packed-out church and ballroom seems increasingly problematic for all the obvious reasons. At the same time we cannot abandon our charities at a time when they need us more than ever. The show must go on! Therefore we are excited to announce that The Story of Christmas 2020 will proceed as a star-studded, televised online event.
Many of our most popular associated celebrities will be performing, together with the Band & Fanfare Trumpeters of the Scots Guards and the Choir of St Paul’s Cathedral. We are very grateful that many of our longstanding sponsors and donors have already confirmed their usual wonderful support.
